The technical SEO checklist for vibe coded sites
This is the actual checklist: the fifteen technical checks that decide whether a vibe coded site is findable, in the order that makes sense to fix them. Every item has a clear pass condition, so you can audit yourself honestly. It is also, not coincidentally, what Drazen's free scan checks automatically.
Readability (fix these first)
- Content in the initial HTML. View raw page source: your headline and body text are present without JavaScript running
- One H1 per page that states what the page is about
- Heading structure (H2s under the H1) that outlines the page sensibly
- Descriptive alt text on meaningful images
Metadata
- Unique title per page, roughly 50 to 60 characters, written around buyer intent
- Unique meta description per page, roughly 140 to 160 characters, that earns the click
- Canonical tag on every page pointing at the one true URL
- Open Graph + Twitter tags with a real share image, so links unfurl properly
Crawl infrastructure
- robots.txt that allows what should be crawled and nothing it shouldn't block by accident
- sitemap.xml listing every real page, referenced from robots.txt and submitted to Search Console
- HTTPS everywhere with one canonical host (www or bare, not both)
- No accidental noindex tags left from staging
Machine context and AI readiness
- JSON-LD structured data for your organisation, product, pricing and FAQs
- llms.txt at the root with a factual, current summary of what you are
- AI visibility baseline: you know whether ChatGPT and Perplexity currently mention you, and re-check monthly
Score yourself honestly: most vibe coded sites pass three or four of the fifteen on launch day. Drazen's free scan runs all of them in about 30 seconds, explains every failure in plain English, then writes the fixes and ships them for your one-click approval.
Questions
What order should I fix things in?
Top to bottom as listed: readability first (nothing else matters while crawlers cannot read you), then metadata, then infrastructure, then machine context. It is dependency order, not importance order.
How often should I re-audit?
After every significant rebuild, because regeneration wipes fixes, and monthly as a floor. Continuous monitoring is better, which is what Drazen's watchdog does.
Is page speed on this list?
It matters, and Drazen measures it via Google's own PageSpeed data, but the fifteen above decide findability. A fast blank page still ranks for nothing, fix readability before shaving milliseconds.
